Who we are

Manifest Web Studio is an independent web design and development studio. This policy covers our website at manifestweb.studio and information you share when contacting us about our services. For privacy questions or requests, email rory@manifestweb.studio.

Information we collect

When you get in touch. Our inquiry forms collect your name, email address, project description, and any preferred plan you select. The full contact form also lets you provide a business name or website. We may keep follow-up correspondence so we can understand and respond to your request. Please avoid including passwords, payment information, or other sensitive personal information in an inquiry.

When you browse. Our hosting and service providers may process technical information such as your IP address, browser and device details, requested pages, and access times to deliver and protect the website. We also use Google Analytics to understand visits, page interactions, referral sources, device information, and general geographic trends.

How we use information

We use inquiry information to answer questions, discuss projects, prepare proposals, and provide the services you request. We use technical information and analytics to operate the website, identify problems or abuse, and understand how visitors use it so we can improve the experience.

Our inquiry conversion event records which form was used—the modal or the full contact form. We do not include your name, email address, project description, or preferred plan in that analytics event. Inquiry submissions are not published as journal content.

Services that help run this website

Information is processed by the services needed to operate the website and handle your request:

  • FormSubmit processes inquiry submissions and forwards them to our inbox. Its own security checks and policies also apply when your browser visits its submission service. FormSubmit privacy policy.
  • Our email provider processes and stores the inquiry emails and follow-up correspondence in our business inbox.
  • Netlify hosts the website and processes technical requests needed to deliver and secure it. Netlify privacy policy.
  • Google Analytics provides website usage and inquiry conversion reports. How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
  • Sanity provides the content-management system for our journal. When journal content is served through Sanity, it processes the requests needed to deliver that content and images. Editor sign-in is handled separately by Sanity; our inquiry forms do not send their contents to Sanity. Sanity privacy policy.

These providers may process information in the United States or other countries where they operate. We may also disclose information when necessary to comply with applicable law or protect our rights and the security of our services.

Cookies and browser storage

Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technology to measure website activity. You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. Google also provides a Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on for supported browsers. Blocking analytics does not prevent you from sending an inquiry.

When you submit an inquiry, we may store the form location and a timestamp in your tab’s session storage. This lets us count the successful return from FormSubmit without counting a thank-you-page refresh twice. This record contains no form answers, is removed when checked on the thank-you page, is ignored after 30 minutes, and normally disappears when the tab’s session ends.

Keeping and protecting information

We retain information for as long as needed to handle your request, deliver agreed services, maintain necessary business records, and meet legal obligations. The appropriate period depends on the information and our relationship with you. Service providers may have their own retention practices described in their policies.

We take reasonable steps to protect information, but no website, email system, or storage service can guarantee complete security.

Your choices and requests

You can choose not to submit a form, leave optional fields blank, or contact us directly by email. Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain uses of your personal information.

To make a request, email rory@manifestweb.studio. We may need to verify that the information relates to you before responding, and some records may need to be retained for legitimate business or legal reasons.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our website or services change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
